Supporting Schools

We work closely with schools to provide bespoke maths and English tuition tailored to each student’s unique needs. We’re experienced in supporting students in behavioural units, those unable to attend school regularly, and those who benefit from extra attention, such as Looked After Children (LAC) and Pupil Premium (PP) students.

How School of Mathematic Excellence Supports Schools

Our specialist tutors deliver personalised learning that builds confidence, closes knowledge gaps, and prepares students for key assessments. By working closely with schools and families, we ensure every young learner receives the focused support they need to thrive, whatever their circumstances.

We offer both 1:1 sessions and small group classes online, with regular progress reports for each student. Where appropriate, we can also advise on alternative qualifications for that young person, such as Functional Skills in place of GCSEs.

We understand that for many young people in these circumstances, being in a smaller, more nurturing learning environment can make all the difference, giving them the chance to rebuild confidence, rediscover their potential, and even start to enjoy learning again. We do everything we can to create that space for them to thrive, and show them how capable they truly are.

  • We began working with Alice Lambe from School of Mathematic Excellence when we were looking for a tutor to re-engage some vulnerable and disadvantaged students in their learning.  This was in September 2023 and we have worked with Alice consistently since then. The impact on our students has been amazing – students who were not engaging in learning at all have made fantastic progress towards their GCSEs – these are students who would have otherwise withdrawn from education totally.   We are so lucky to have found Alice and plan to continue working with her going forwards, her support is invaluable.
